The scepter mounted with three jade plaques at the head, midsection,
and tail, each plaque of oval form carved with water lilies and birds, the
stone a grey-green hue; the shaft suspending a knotted silk tassel.

A SPINACH JADE RUYI SCEPTER WITH WHITE JADE OVERLAY
Of thick convex section, the head, midpoint, and tail supporting
convex ovoid jade plaques of cloudy white hue, carved in raised relief
to depict figures under a flowering tree, deer and pine, and figures in
a garden respectively; the jade shaft a spinach green hue with black
inclusions.

TWO BOXWOOD RUYI SCEPTERS
Late Qing/Republic period
Both of typical shape, one reticulated in raised relief to depict groups
of immortals to each node and Ba Jixiang along the curved shaft; the
second with dragon and phoenix to the top node, additional immortals
to the bottom two nodes and a curved shaft reticulated as stylized
shou characters.
