This work is important because of indication that Iranian public librarians are burn outing high-

level employment. This degree of burnout could alarm Iran Public Libraries Foundation
administration. This research aimed to evaluate the quality of work life and job burnout among

South Khorasan Province public librarians in Iran. All in all, the quality of public librarians' work
life was substantially lower than the amount desired. Public librarians' work Burnout was
substantially higher than the amount expected. There was a significant negative association

between work-life quality and job burnout and the job burnout of librarians was expected from
work-life quality.
