Price concerns
Some of the US’ leading shale producers have expressed concern over the
possibility of crude prices rising above $100 per barrel.
Deep freeze
A deep freeze in Canada is disrupting oil and gas operations and leading to
increased commodity prices.
SPR release
The US Department of Energy has approved a third exchange of crude from
the country’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve for release to ExxonMobil.
Supply deal
The US’ Venture Global LNG announced in late December that it had struck
a deal to supply LNG to a subsidiary of China National Offshore Oil Corp.
