             peeding up and slow-
             ing down, that was the
        Score point of exploration
        on this piece. This concept
        has already been explored
        by many other composers,
        however this piece present-
        ed me a different approach
to composing. I tend to treat
        composing as an individual
activity, however, in Coexist- Marcus and I discussed

Once our individual compositions were done, Mar-
cus and I had a final discussion. I opted to write for strings
orchestra and aimed to evoke a romantic nostalgia feel.
Marcus wrote for solo violoncello and consistently explored
the use of rhythms. Instead of presenting our compositions
one after the other, we decided we would blend our works,
resulting in some overlapping. In addition, I decided to or-
chestrate the strings orchestras at certain points to serve as
a smooth transition from each section. The final result was
that our compositions coexist together in a larger piece.
