Point of Care Training Essentials

How to Obtain POC Device Access

 Complete the required LMS training modules
 You will receive an email from the Point of Care office as to which
courses are specific to your unit/clinic
• 2 courses for glucometer only
• 2 courses for urine device only
• 3 courses for glucometer and urine device

 Notify the Point of Care office once training modules are completed
 Limited access to devices(s) will be provided

 Complete one level of quality control under preceptor supervision on one or
both devices

 Notify the Point of Care office once a quality control level has been run
 Glucometer access will be extended
