“Of course I do! I may be a fish, but I’m not a blockhead.”
“That’s not fair! I’m lumber, but I have the wisdom of the trees!”
“Wait a minute: what are we arguing about? Do we not both possess
horse sense?” The seahorse was conciliatory.
“You’re right,” said the sawhorse. “And beyond that, you could say
that we just horsing around. Both of us are half something else. Let
us see what our combined uniqueness would produce. We can play
that same game of mix and match.”
Again they paused. Then both burst out in a loud horse laugh.
“I’ve got it!” exclaimed the seahorse.
“So have I!” cried the sawhorse.
And, in unison, they hollered: “SEESAW!”
