Billy Bob Cat considered the situation from his own point of view.
Eddie Puss was groaning and kicking in his sleep, definitely not a
factor in any immediate action. Levi Katz had run away, verbose
bravado covering his retreat. That meant he, Billy Bob, was free to
develop his own plan. The albino Persian settled into a comfortable
crouch facing the alley and Spats’ unhurried ingestion of the choicest
edibles. Patience, thought Billy Bob; that’s what it takes. He’s going
to forget about us and go back to his own territory after eating a few
mouthfuls; then I can feast on whatever’s left.
