home. I know that in all three scenarios, He will make all
things work for good (See Romans 8:28).
Greater still, I know that He has invited me to come boldly
into His throne of grace that I may find help in time of need
(Hebrews 4:16). He also dares me to ask Him that my joy
may be full (John 16:24). This is what I ask of God that my
joy may be full: that Wilma will come home, alive and well,
as if covid had never happened.
Needless to say, I’m careful not to presume that this is God’s
specific will for Wilma at this point. I’m careful not to put
God in a box, especially in a box I had created. But unless
God reveals otherwise, I will hold on to this box and keep
believing for a miracle. I’m not being naïve nor fatalistic.
But unless God reveals unequivocally that the box He had
prepared for Wilma is different from what I have in mind, I
will keep expecting her to come home to us alive and well.
I believe that God, being the good Father that He is, will not
give me a stone if I ask for bread, a snake if I ask for fish
(Matthew 7:9). I come before God like a child asking his
loving father to give him the desire of his heart. I come
before my Father in heaven, asking and believing for a
miracle for Wilma. Thank You for encouraging me to keep
on believing in a miracle. Even more so, thank You for
believing in me.
Prayer:
Lord, You are the Most High, All-powerful, All-knowing,
and All-present God. You are righteous in all Your ways,
and You never make mistakes. You deserve our adoration,
worship, and praise. We exalt You and bless Your name as
the One with the final say in our lives. Help us to completely
trust Your sovereign will. You are our El Elyon.
