THE COURAGE TO SUCCEED
own eyes, and therefore I do not look that way to those around
me. (Numbers 13:31-33)
I will not give in to the spirit of fear (2 Timothy 1:7) but will firmly
resist fear in faith (1 Peter 5:9). I will have a different spirit and
follow the Lord wholeheartedly. Therefore, the Lord will bring
me into the land to which I have come, and my descendants will
inherit it. (Numbers 14:24)
I will be strong and very courageous… for the Lord my, God is
with me wherever I go (Joshua 1:9) For you are the Lord my God
who takes hold of my right hand and says to me, “Do not fear, I
will help you” (Isaiah 41:13). The Lord who keeps me will not
slumber nor sleep. (Psalm 121:4)
Surely the Lord is my Salvation. I will trust in him and not be afraid
(Isaiah 12:20). For the Lord declares that in returning to Him and
resting on Him, I will be saved, and in quiet and trusting
confidence, I will find my strength. For the Lord is a faithful God.
Blessed are those who wait for his help. (Isaiah 30:15&18)
I encourage you to make this your declaration also when you come
against giants that seem to loom between you and God’s promised
prosperity. I also encourage you to build your own memorial by reciting
in your mind the victories that God has already brought you through
(Exodus 17:14). Then believe and trust God to move on your behalf
once again. Be strong and very courageous. Add to your faith both
strength and courage by trusting in the goodness, faithfulness and love
of God.
“I would have fainted had I not expected to see
the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
Wait for the Lord. Be strong, take heart,
and wait I say for the Lord.”
(Psalm 27:13-14)
