THE PROSPEROUS WAY

 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; A good
understanding have all those who do His
                        commandments. (Psalm 111:10)
 Who knows the power of Your anger? For as the fear of
You, so is Your wrath. So, teach us to number our days,
that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:11-12)

             2) Walking in integrity.
In Proverbs 2:7, we learn that “the Lord stores up wisdom for the
upright.” So walking in integrity releases the wisdom that God
                 has for us.

             3) Reading the Word.
Before we can obey the Word of the Lord, we need to know it!
We unlock the wisdom that is in the Word for our everyday
situations by regularly and prayerfully reading the Bible and
listening to what the Spirit tells us as we read God’s word.

 Your commands are always with me and make me wiser
than my enemies. I have more insight than all my
teachers, for I meditate on your statutes.
                        (Psalm 119:98-99)

 Moses instructed the Israelites to observe the statutes
and commandments of the Lord “for this is your wisdom
and your understanding in the sight of all the peoples
who will hear of all these statutes, and say, ‘Surely this
great nation is a wise and understanding people.’
                        (Deuteronomy 4:5-6)

             4) As a Gift from the Holy Spirit.
Wisdom and understanding are gifts from the Holy Spirit. In 1
Corinthians 12: 7-8, the Apostle Paul explains: “To one there is
                                                                ,
given through the Spirit a message of wisdom to another a
message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit.” The gift of
knowledge is usually described as having supernatural
knowledge of a matter, and the gift of wisdom as having
supernatural understanding of what to do. This is wonderfully
illustrated by the story in Daniel 2 when King Nebuchadnezzar’s
required the wise men of the kingdom to both interpret his
