SESSION 13 : Song Of Songs Chapter 5:9-16 (TPT)
If we do this, we will discover His pure, unconditional love, His
preeminence in all things, and the mantle of unsurpassed power and
authority which He carries with dignified humility as the King of Kings
and Lord of Lords.
In the Passion Translation, it states that on His head, the Bridegroom is
wearing a crown with black letters written upon it. I found this verse
particularly interesting because, according to Rabbinic tradition, these
letters represent the words of the Torah. This interpretation reminded
me of the importance of allowing the Word of God to dwell richly
within us.
Colossians 3:16 (TPT) says:
“Let the word of Christ live in you richly, flooding you with all
wisdom…”
This is absolutely essential if we are going to be overcomers in the last
days. These words are life-giving and never return void as we declare
them over others, situations, and ourselves. Interestingly, as Isaiah 55
continues, it says in verses 10–11 (NIV):
“As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return
to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that
it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,
so is the word that goes forth from my mouth; It will not return to me
empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for
which I sent it.”
