RADICAL LOVE
Words brought the universe into being. Jesus is the Word, and
therefore, we must make it a priority to feed on Him and receive the
words from His mouth that will be relevant and helpful in equipping us
for every arising situation in our lives. For every negative, there is a
positive Word of God to counteract it—but it is up to us to dig out this
treasure and use it.
I also noticed something further regarding this verse: it says that the
words are on a crown. The crown symbolizes supremacy and authority.
Psalm 12:6 (TPT) reads:
“For every word God speaks is sure and every promise pure. His truth
is tested, found to be flawless and ever faithful. It’s as pure as silver
refined seven times in a crucible of clay.”
God’s Word is to be our supreme authority in life. The word “Bible,”
as an acrostic, can spell: Believer’s Instructions Before Leaving Earth.
When I look back over my life at the numerous difficult situations I
have walked through, it is not only the presence—but also the Word of
God declared into my situation—that has enabled me to carry on. I
recall one particular occasion when I was deeply broken. I was lying
on a sofa under a blanket, feeling hopeless and in utter despair. I picked
up my Bible, and as I began to read, I had a physical manifestation of
life flowing into my body, soul, and spirit. It was remarkable! It was
the life of God’s Word in Christ.
