SESSION 16 : Song of Songs Chapter 6:13; 7:1-6 (TPT)
2-3 Out of your innermost being is flowing the fullness of my Spirit-
never failing to satisfy. Within your womb there is a birthing of harvest
wheat; they are the sons and daughters nurtured by the purity you
impart. How gracious you have become!
4 Your life stands tall as a tower, like a shining light on a hill. Your
revelation eyes are pure, like pools of refreshing- sparkling light for a
multitude. Such discernment surrounds you protecting you from the
enemy’s advance.
5 Redeeming love crowns you as royalty. Your thoughts are full of life,
wisdom, and virtue. Even a king is held captive by your beauty.
6 How delicious is your fair beauty; it cannot be described as I count
the delights you bring to me. Love has become the greatest.
A
s I pondered over verse 13, I was reminded of how, shortly
before in verse 10, the Shulamite had been likened to the
moon—which, in reflecting the sun’s glory, compared her
to Jesus in a deeper way. His countenance had risen upon her to such a
degree that it held the attention of all those observing her, similar to
what occurred when Jesus walked the earth and called His disciples.
He didn’t have to cajole, exert any pressure, or use persuasion. He
merely said, “Come, follow Me,” and they responded immediately,
leaving everything behind to follow Him (see Matthew 4:19, TPT).
They saw the glory of God upon Jesus, and it drew them.
