RADICAL LOVE
Similarly, the Zion Maidens—Brides-to-be—are now seeing Christ,
the hope of glory, shining in splendour and majesty, more fully
manifest upon her. She is no longer operating out of the fleshly life, but
has joined in unity with the Holy Spirit and co-partnership with her
Beloved. Their lives are now entwined together in the dance of the
Bride and the Bridegroom, and her Beloved is leading the way.
There are valuable lessons for all of us to consider as we reflect on the
act of dancing. Firstly, someone has to lead—without a leader, there
can be no dance. Secondly, in many forms of dance, the pair has to
stand close in a posture of embrace. And thirdly, they must learn to be
in time and step with one another.
As I was writing this section about dancing, I felt the Holy Spirit
prompting me to tell you, the readers, that we must not forget: dancing
is one of the most powerful weapons of spiritual warfare. We are in a
season where God is restoring dancing back into the Church—
especially among the men. He is looking for “Davids” who, out of love
for Him, will worship and even appear undignified in their total
abandonment to the One who is worthy of all our praise and worship.
Those who honour Jesus in this way will delight Him and set people
free. However, they will also infuriate the religious spirit that lurks in
many who profess to belong to Christ.
I speak from personal experience and would like to give you some
testimony about this before resuming the study.
