SESSION 16 : Song of Songs Chapter 6:13; 7:1-6 (TPT)

“How beautiful your sandaled feet, O prince’s daughter! Your graceful

legs are like jewels, the work of an artist’s hands.”

Verse one begins with a description of her feet and legs. Both of these

body parts imply movement. She is now prepared—ready (hence the
title given to her of being a prince’s daughter, denoting royalty)—and

shod with the gospel of peace to declare salvation to the nations of the

          earth.

She is the royal daughter of the Prince of Peace, upon whom was laid

the chastisement due to us, so that we can enjoy His shalom. That is
why her legs are described as being like jewels—they carry something

extraordinarily precious. The gospel of Jesus Christ is life, healing,

strength, and peace to the body, soul, and spirit for those who believe
          and partake of it.

No wonder the Apostle Paul was able to write in Romans 1:16 (NIV):
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God

that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to

          the Gentile.”

Just like Paul, this maiden has truly tasted and seen how good the Lord

really is. And we must do likewise: “Taste and see that the Lord is
          awesomely good!”

The more we pursue Jesus and yield to His promptings, the deeper the
revelation of His incredible goodness, loveliness, and power we

receive. Eventually, we reach the point where we are totally abandoned
