RADICAL LOVE
Since my initial introduction to the book, some of those things that
made me afraid no longer do—because through continued intimate
fellowship, I have received more revelation of the beautiful nature of
Jesus and am more convinced of God’s perfect love for me. This is
what is meant by growth to maturity: where fear decreases and love and
faith increase.
And this will continue, because Father God aims to conform us to the
image of Jesus—who is love. Our love for God should be forever
deepening, forever becoming more satisfying, until our union reaches
full consummation (the revelation of total oneness), and we are filled
with the knowledge of His perfect love and free from all fear.
Song of Songs is the song of those who have the spirit of the Bride and
who yearn to be fully identified with Jesus—the one who alone has the
key to full redemption of the human body, soul, and spirit. It is a work
of grace on His part, but it demands complete surrender on ours.
During my numerous studies on the Song of Songs, I found this point
to be of great interest and, in my view, worthy of inclusion. It is for each
one to consider the content before the Lord prayerfully:
The song of the redeemed mentioned in Revelation 14:4–5 speaks of a
company of 144,000 saints singing a new song. They are only permitted
to learn this song because they possess undefiled characters; they
follow the Lamb wherever He goes, no lies are found in their mouths,
and they are blameless.
