fter waiting for Ange and Faye to finish, we finally went to
the mall. And my gosh, it was… huge! And so… creative.
The roof was made of glass, and it looked like broken,
shattered glass. All the shop windows were also made of glass, but they
were so tinted you couldn’t even catch a glimpse of your reflection.
We went to three different shops and spent about twenty minutes
there. We met some of the boys from school and hung out with them.
But then there was another problem.
We decided to go to one last shop before heading home, but right
before we chose which one, we heard a loud voice coming from behind
us. When I turned, I saw a policeman coming our way. Ange and Faye
immediately started to run, but then I heard someone yell, “Don’t you
dare run away!”
Everybody in the mall turned to look at us—and it was so
embarrassing. Then I saw two ladies walking toward us, and I instantly
knew it was Mom and Alexa.
The police took all the things we’d bought and returned them to
the shops.
Ange started resisting and yelling, “But we bought those!”
The policeman ignored her and asked my mom if she wanted to press
charges for leaving school grounds and shoplifting.
