nd my quote and motivation, which I got from my comedy
class, is: “Never give up, even on the first step. It’s always
something you can remember when you're successful one
day.” It inspired me to have more faith and success in comedy. And
without my comedy teacher’s or friends’ help, I don’t think I would be
here.”
“Anyway, now for what you've been waiting for—the jokes.” I
acted like I was bored and sighed. I heard little chuckles from across
the auditorium.
“Math problems always say, ‘If you have four pencils and take
away two…’ Like, no! If I had four pencils, I’d already be the richest
kid in class.” Laughter spread all around the left side of the room—
which was mostly kids from different schools.
“I’ve got another one. I told my dad I want to be famous. He said,
‘Well, you’re already known for leaving the lights on.’” And this time,
everyone in the auditorium laughed. Even my parents laughed, and they
seemed to like the show. Wait—this might’ve worked…
The show ended, and I was getting people from the show saying,
“Good job!”
“That was some great jokes!”
“And nice introduction, Shauna!”
