RADICAL LOVE

speaks of all that we truly are in Christ, coming to the fore—the spirit

man beginning to emerge! We are one in the Spirit with the Trinity, co-
heirs with Christ, and true sons of God. We have been crucified with

Him and no longer live for ourselves or of ourselves. Jesus Christ is our
life, and the more we truly grasp that, the more freedom we enjoy.

I would like to share with you a testimony about how the Holy Spirit

led me to change my prayer life several years ago, as it is related to
          Chapter 8, verse 5.

During my time with the Lord, the Holy Spirit had been reinforcing the
truth that everything pertaining to my walk with Him is a result of the

work of the Cross. Jesus paid the price for me, and I am no longer my

own, but belong to Him. He had been emphasising the futility of my
good efforts, noble intentions, and legalistic strivings—which I can still

fall into. He spent months teaching me about resting in what He has
already done and how to move only at the leading of His Spirit. (This

          is still ongoing.)

I did not find this an easy time, as it required me to launch into the
unknown. But He assured me that when He says it now has to be “all

of Him,” He means it—and is faithful and trustworthy to bring it to
          pass.

Part of this learning process was a new addition to my prayer walk. It
is called silence, or contemplative prayer. Over the last few years, I

have been led into this mode of prayer, where I sit or lie in His presence
