              Practical operation of aerial

              Demonstration (no water supply required)

              • Demonstrate to the students the aerial movements required to
position the aerial in a particular location, for example, to provide
fire attack or for access to upper floors or roof.

              • Demonstrate the operation of the monitor from both the control
station and from the aerial platform (where fitted).

              • Demonstrate the operation of the ladder communication system.

              Student practice

              • Students to operate the aerial and monitor controls from the
ground, including operating controls with the aerial close to
                 buildings and windows.

              • Students to manipulate the Aerial controls to follow a parallel line
down the face of the building/tower.

                                                                                         September 2018 | Version 2
