erased. The Commander knew exactly what this meant.
Someone else had found them first. Could it be that there is
truth to Tommy’s story? He shook his head and got his team
organized to leave.
Mrs. Jenkins announced they were home. They had reached
southern Connecticut and pulled out of the city into a rural
area quite quickly. Everyone looked around and saw only a
road. This road went up what was somewhere between a large
hill and a small mountain. At the top was an large compound of
architecturally beautiful buildings. They drove for several
minutes to reach the top, then weaved between buildings,
each more magnificent than the last, eventually ending up in a
massive archway leading into a mansion.
“Here we are.” Said Mrs. Jenkins in a sing-song voice.
She practically tugged Steve out of the limo by his arm. Steve
was in shock. This was a cross between a mansion and a
castle. It was an old building covered in brick with granite
highlights in the archways and corners. It was massive. They
were stopped in front of what was an old carriage house. Off
to the left were more brick structures attached to the carriage
house and just as old. It was huge even that direction alone.
Then off to the right was a wing that appeared to be either
designed by or influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright. It was glass
and wood at angles which he assumed were chosen by their
association with the sunlight. There were trees strategically
