transfers from one job to another or from one department or location to another. This policy offers
employees the opportunity to be promoted into higher level positions, when appropriate.
Management reserves the right to make exceptions to this policy.
Eligibility for Voluntary Transfer or Promotion:
➢ Must possess the necessary qualifications and skills for the open position.
➢ Have been in the current position for a minimum of six (6) months.
➢ Have a satisfactory performance record.
➢ Does not have any written corrective actions during the same period.
Internal Job Postings
Job openings are generally posted online on Mission’s Human Resource Information System
(“HRIS”) for three (3) workdays. Eligible employees are encouraged to apply by submitting an
internal electronic application through the HRIS system by logging online into ADP Workforce
Now and selecting the “Current Job Openings” link. If the employee meets the eligibility
requirements, the employee should be allowed time off with pay to attend job interviews related
to the transfer or promotion. Final recommendations for the job openings will be made by the
supervisor/manager, subject to the People Operations Department’s approval.
At the discretion of the management of Mission, transferred or promoted employees who are
unable to perform satisfactorily in their new jobs may be returned to their original job, if a vacancy
exists or such employees may be terminated from employment. The employee remains an at-will
employee at all times and the employment at-will relationship is not altered by transfer or
promotion to a new position.
HIRING PROCESS:
Prior to the actual consideration to hire a candidate, managers and above must refer to the Hiring
Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Mission believes in maximizing its resources; therefore,
Mission advocates promoting from within the organization to fill open job vacancies. Failure to
follow the Hiring SOP or attempting to circumvent the hiring process may result in disciplinary
action, up to and including termination.
No unsolicited resumes and/or applications will be accepted.
