Employees are expected to cooperate fully with authorities in the event of an accident. However,
employees should not make any statements other than in response to questions from investigating
officers.
Non-Exempt Employee Driving Time: Time spent by non-exempt employees in driving a
Mission vehicle or a personal vehicle on Mission business during normal working hours is
considered hours worked for pay purposes. Commuting time before the start and after the end of
the workday is not treated as work time for pay purposes.
MEMBERSHIP IN CLUBS AND CIVIC ORGANIZATIONS
Employees are encouraged to seek membership in community clubs and civic organizations where
membership will promote Mission’s business interests and enhance its image in the community.
Unless it is at Mission’s request or under its direction and control, participation in club or civic
organizational activities is not considered “hours worked” for pay purposes. For further details,
please refer to the Expense Reimbursement and Travel Policy.
PARTICIPATION IN TRADE & PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS
Employees are encouraged to participate in trade and professional associations that promote
Mission goals, individual skills development, and professional recognition. However, employee
participation in these associations must not conflict with Mission’s business interests or interfere
with an employee’s job performance. Employee participation in trade and professional association
activities will not be considered as hours worked for pay purposes for employees classified as non-
exempt under the FLSA and applicable state laws, unless participation is at Mission’s request or
under Mission’s direction and control.
Sponsored Membership: Mission will pay or reimburse the approved and reasonable expenses
of employees sponsored for membership in trade and professional associations. Employees not
sponsored for association membership may be eligible for reimbursement for the expenses of
special association events, if participation in the activity is approved in advance by Mission.
Official Positions: Prior to soliciting or accepting any official position in a trade or professional
association, employees must obtain supervisor/manager approval. Accepting an official position
in a trade or professional association must not conflict with Mission’s business interests or interfere
with an employee’s job performance.
SALES EXCELLENCE AWARD GUIDELINES:
The Sales Excellence Award is an achievement that is awarded to elite sales professionals within
the Mission sales teams. Recipients of this award are top performers from across the nation that
have demonstrated the ability to increase revenues and profits through consistent business
