(including texting and cell phone laws) and avoid distractions (including smoking in Mission
vehicles) while operating and maintaining the Mission vehicle and its contents. Employees are
prohibited from operating a Mission vehicle or a personal vehicle for Mission business while
intoxicated or when a physical or mental impairment makes it unsafe for the employee to drive or
if he/she does not possess a valid license to operate the vehicle.
If the employee’s ability to meet the standards of this policy changes or if there is a change in the
employee’s driving status, even if temporary, then the employee must immediately report the
situation to his/her supervisor/manager and the People Operations Department.
Employees who are authorized to drive vehicle for company business and/or are receiving a
company vehicle allowance will be subject to a motor vehicle report on an annual basis.
From time to time, it may be necessary for an employee to drive his/her personal vehicle on
Mission business. Mission requires that all employees (with the exception of sales employees)
who drive personal vehicles turn in mileage reimbursement requests according to Mission’s
Expense Reimbursement and Travel Policy. Employees currently receiving car allowance or
submitting mileage reimbursement requests are required to carry at least the following minimum
limits on their personal vehicle insurance policy:
➢ $250,000 Bodily Injury – Each Person
➢ $500,000 Bodily Injury – Each Accident
➢ $100,000 Property Damage – Each Accident
Vehicle insurance coverage shall also include Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists coverage in the
amount of $250,000. An umbrella liability insurance policy may be used in lieu of the coverage
stated above for property damage. The purchase of comprehensive and collision insurance is at the
discretion of the employee. Employees using personal vehicles on Mission business are required
to provide evidence of vehicle insurance to the People Operations Department prior to conducting
any business for Mission. Failure to provide evidence of vehicle insurance coverage will result in
the inability of the employee to conduct business on behalf of Mission.
Pharma and Sales Division: Sales force employees (Territory Sales Managers and Regional Sales
Managers) please refer to the Motus Vehicle Reimbursement Program Policy.
Driving and/or Parking Violations, Fines and Infractions: Employees are responsible for any
driving infractions, fines, and/or parking tickets resulting from violation of laws.
Reporting of Damages to Vehicles: Employees must report any accidents, theft, damages, break
down or mechanical problems involving a Mission vehicle. These reports must be made as soon
as possible to supervisor/manager and to the head of Finance, but no later than twenty-four (24)
hours after the incident.
