Coordinator for Career and Technical Education
CTE Grant Expenditure Reports – Prepared and submitted quarterly expenditure reports for both
Perkins (Federal) and CTEI (State) grants. Submission also include GATA reports for both grants
and ensuring reporting requirements were met. Also remaining current with k-12 and higher
education trends/developments/issues, related to CTE and workforce development as it relates to
the new Perkins V Legislation.
State Grant Increase - Rich Township CTE Receive State Grant Increase - Previously, we were
awarded $98,602 for the 2019- 20 school year for our Career and Technical Education
Improvement (CTEI) state grant. We have been granted an additional $8,010.00 for a grand total of
$106612.00 for our Programs of Study (POS). Of the five school districts in the Career Preparation
Network (CPN), Rich Township received the largest increase in dollars. The increase is a result of
ensuring courses are sequenced correctly with the State, and having instructors with the correct
credentials to facilitate the courses which generates revenue to our District.
CTE Curricular Course Alignment - Continuing the work of CTE alignment and programming (e.g.
CTE, dual credit, Early College STEM) with labor market needs and opportunities per the new
Perkins V Legislation for the 2020-21 school year.
CTE Staffing - Work cooperatively with Dr. Bournes, Dr. Echols, and Associate Principals on
correct CTE staffing and personnel for instructional assignments
Continued collaboration with Dr. Harris to develop and deliver instructional programs aligned with
the needs of special populations.
Curricula Development - Working closely with Dr. Bournés in the development, adoption and
implementation of curricula for CTE programs
CTE Staffing – Working closely with Dr. Bournés and Dr. Echols to identify staffing needs for the
2020-21 school year as it relates to CTE. Discussion includes sectioning, traveling, and teacher
credentials.
From The Director of Student Support Services
1. Monthly meetings were facilitated with various departments under the umbrella of Student
Support Services throughout the month.
2. Facilitated the special populations committee meeting consisting of teachers and
administrators. I also contacted parents and students to be a part of the committee
