Faculty members who are with the University for 11 years and above

2.4 Faculty members who have already started their master’s degrees which are based

on the verticalization program and relevant to their field of specialization are given the
prescribed period to finish based on the units earned, to wit:

UNITS EARNED MAXIMUM PERIOD TO FINISH
THE MASTERAL DEGREE
a) 0-9 units 4 years

b) 10-18 units 3 years

c) 19-36 units 2 years

d) 37 units – above 1 year*

*One (1) academic year shall consist of two (2) semesters and one (1) Summer.

2.5 Existing faculty members who have already started their master’s degrees and about to

finish prior to the verticalization policy of the University are allowed to continue and finish

their degrees within the prescribed period, PROVIDED that the same is the nearest in their

field of specialization.

2.6 The appointments of those faculty members which are reverted to temporary status,
while they are on study leave in accordance with the provisions of this policy, shall be

periodically renewed within the prescribed duration of their study leave.

2.7 In case there are faculty members who do not comply with the provisions of Items 2.3

and 2.4, with justifiable reasons based on the existing Staff Development Policies, they will
