The NYAA Council has realised the need for forwarding financial planning to strive for economic
sustainability. As a result, a fundraising committee was formed to look into fundraising events.
Once the covid-19 pandemic eases, the Committee will raise funds from foundations, well-wishers,
and supporters. The Committee aims to organise fundraising events when mass physical activities
are permitted to raise $300,000 per year.
The NYAA will uphold its mission by serving the community through close partnerships with
operating partners and stakeholders. In addition, GAHA and its members remain committed to its
mission of serving the community beyond Gold. We are very proud that these young leaders
contributed and made a difference in our society despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
We are grateful to our Life Benefactors: The Tote Board, and Singapore Pools Pte Ltd, for their
financial support. We are also very thankful to the Lee Foundation, HSBC Singapore, City
Developments Ltd, government ministries and agencies and all our partners, supporters and
stakeholders for their support during these challenging times. We will continue to find fresh and
refreshing ways to create opportunities for our young people to discover their worth through the
NYAA learning journey.
We want to express our appreciation and gratitude to Mr Heng Swee Keat, Deputy Prime Minister
and Coordinating Minister for Economic Policies and Chairman, NYAA Advisory Board and
Members of the NYAA Advisory Board for their advice, guidance and support.
We want to thank Members of the NYAA Council for their leadership, guidance, contributions, and
support to the NYAA Secretariat.
We are also very grateful to our lean team of staff headed by the Executive Director, Mr James
Soh. They have worked beyond their call of duty to nurture and develop our young people through
the NYAA Programme with our Operating Partners. Always creative, forward-thinking, and always
proactive, James Soh has continued to provide excellent programmes to help develop our young
people, despite the many challenges brought on by the pandemic.
We want to thank all Heads of Educational Institutions, Principals, Heads of departments,
Teachers, NYAA coordinators and volunteers for your partnership and continued support.
We want to thank all who have contributed to the success of the NYAA Programme in Singapore.
We look forward to a better year ahead when the COVID-19 situation improves. Keep well, stay
safe and healthy.
Thank you.
