PARTNERSHIP (INTERNATIONAL)
The NYAA is a trusted organisation on the international stage. Many foreign governments and international
agencies working closely in partnership with the NYAA have high regard for NYAA because of its leadership
and contributions on the global stage. We have previously actively participated in programmes such as the
annual APEC Voices of the Future, the Y20 of the G20 Conferences, the United Nations Environment Assembly
(UNE), the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Asia-Europe Foundation
(ASEM), the United Nations Environment South East Asian Youth Environment Network (UNE SEAYEN) and St.
Gallen Symposium Singapore Hub.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of these international conferences, meetings and events
were conducted virtually and online, except for two major events. The 50th St. Gallen Symposium Singapore
Hub was held in Singapore, and The United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, COP 26, in
Glasgow, Scotland, in November 2021 was held physically under strict Safe Management Measures.

NYAA Mobile Apps
In January 2021, the NYAA launched its mobile app – a mobile and web-based online programme. The NYAA
Secretariat conducted many workshops to test and orientate our Operating Partners on the mobile app. During
the initial stage, the NYAA received much valuable feedback. Our vendor, e1 concept - the app developer - has
responded with inputs from our Operating Partners and rectified and improved the apps accordingly.
NYAA Junior Programme - The Butterfly Award
The NYAA introduced the NYAA Junior Programme, The Butterfly Award pilot programme for primary schools.
Again, our focus was on values.
Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, only five primary schools completed the pilot programme in
a very restrictive yet innovative way in 2021. However, feedback from the students, teachers, parents and
principals was positive and encouraging. As a result, we will launch the NYAA Junior programme in more
schools in 2022.
