• Forum on Water Innovation 2023
The Forum on Water Innovation and Youth
Empowerment 2023 was jointly organised by
Singapore Innovation Park (SIP), Unicorns For Good,
and the NYAA Council. The keynote speaker was Mr
Pablo Bereciatua, former Minister of Infrastructure
and Water of Argentina and Chair of the Global Water
Partnership. Guest speakers included Ms Jennifer
Corriero and Mr Michael Furdyk, co-founders
of TakingITGlobal. The event attracted a packed
audience of critical players in the sustainability
sector, business leaders, and foreign ambassadors in
Singapore.
• Earthshot Prize Presentation Ceremony
2023
The Earthshot Prize Presentation Ceremony 2023 was
held in Singapore for the first time at the MediaCorp
theatre. Innovative solutions to environmental
challenges were celebrated, with five winners
receiving 1 million pounds sterling each to advance
their causes. The ceremony was graced by His Royal
Highness Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge.
NYAA invited five active environmental advocates to
witness the prize presentation.
• The Sustainability Exchange Youth
Mentorship Programme 2023
The Sustainability Exchange Youth Mentorship
Programme 2023 was held at Temasek Shophouse.
Mr Baey Yam Keng, Senior Parliamentary Secretary
for Sustainability and the Environment and Transport,
graced the event as the guest of honour. Ms Cassandra
Yip, an NYAA Gold Award holder and Founder of Earth
School, was one of the panellists who shared her
environmental journey and knowledge at the event.
• Tree Planting to Commemorate LKY’s 100th
Year and Singapore Adventure Club’s 60th
Anniversary
The Singapore Adventure Club and the NYAA
Council jointly organised a tree-planting event to
commemorate the 100th Anniversary of Mr. Lee
Kuan Yew, the founding Prime Minister of Singapore,
and the 60th Anniversary of the Singapore Adventure
Club. The event was graced by Mr Heng Swee Keat,
Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister
for Economic Policies, at East Coast GRC. Members
of Parliament for East Coast GRC and a visiting
Swiss delegation from the St. Gallen Symposium,
Switzerland, also attended.
