• Journey with You, Supporting Your
Aspiration
NYAA Executive Director, Mr. James Soh, was the
Guest-of-Honour at Punggol Green Primary School
in May 2023. He addressed the students on “Journey
with You, Supporting Your Aspiration,” followed
by a lively Q&A session. The event, attended by
500 students, was fruitful as it addressed their
development and future concerns, particularly the
Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE).

• Assumption Pathway School
NYAA Executive Director visited Assumption Pathway
School at the invitation of Principal Mr. Stephen
Chin. The visit discussed developing a programme to
inspire and motivate students with low self-esteem
through the NYAA Programme.

• Breaking Fast at Masjid Al-lam Mosque
During Ramadan, NYAA and primary school students
from West Spring Primary School visited Masjid Al-
lam Mosque in Bukit Panjang. The event involved
breaking fast together and witnessing Muslim
prayers, fostering an understanding of religious
harmony in Singapore.

• CNA Youth Forum
Ms Cassandra Yip, an NYAA Gold Award holder
and NYAA’s Representative at the 24th People’s
Association Youth Movement (PAYM) Council,
participated in a conversation with the Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister for Finance, Mr Lawrence
Wong. The dialogue, organised by CNA, highlighted
youth commitment to supporting the Forward SG
initiative.

• Wikimania Volunteer Training Workshop
The Wikimania Volunteer Training Workshop,
organised by NYAA, was held at the Suntec Convention
Centre. Speakers from the National Heritage Board
and Wikimedia team guided volunteers for the
Wikimania Annual Conference in Singapore in August
2023.
