• City Development Limited Diamond Jubilee
Celebration
City Developments Limited celebrated its 60th
Diamond Jubilee in July 2023, graced by Deputy
Prime Minister and Minister for Finance Mr Lawrence
Wong, with Special Guest Deputy Prime Minister
Mr Heng Swee Keat. Executive Director James Soh
represented NYAA at the Gala Dinner event.
• St. Gallen Symposium Returned Reception
2023
NYAA Executive Director James Soh chaired the 52nd
St. Gallen Symposium Singapore Forum and was
vital in selecting Singapore Leaders of Tomorrow.
The returned reception provided a platform for past
participants to share experiences and prepare for the
53rd Symposium in 2024.
• HSG Alumni Asia 2023
During the HSG Alumni Asia Weekend, the St. Gallen
University alums from Asia and Europe gathered for a
retreat in Singapore. NYAA Executive Director James
Soh was acknowledged for supporting the St. Gallen
Symposium and pledged continued collaboration
for the 53rd Symposium and the 8th St. Gallen
Symposium Singapore Forum in 2024.
• Launch of “Cherished Memories of
Yesteryears”
NYAA and North Spring Primary School collaborated
on a project where students interviewed their
grandparents about their contributions to Singapore.
Selected essays were compiled into the book
“Cherished Memories of Yesteryears,” highlighting
values such as honesty, hard work, perseverance,
and respect.
• The Specialists’ Community Action and
Leadership Exchange (SCALE)
The SCALE programme, supported by the Temasek
Foundation, is an immersion programme between
ITE, Polytechnics, and their ASEAN counterparts.
Many NYAA Gold Awardees have benefited from
SCALE. NYAA was delighted to see H.E. Sengkeo
Poungpadith, a former participant and now
Ambassador of Laos to Singapore, at the event.
Dr Yek Tiew Ming, Principal of ITE College East,
thanked Temasek Foundation and NYAA for their
support in his Welcome Address.
