• Wikimania World Conference 2023
In August, the Wikimania World Conference 2023
was held at the Suntec Convention Centre. The event,
graced by Mr Jimmy Wales, Founder of Wikipedia and
attended by over 3,000 delegates from 138 countries,
honoured NYAA for its partnership and support in
volunteer recruitment.

• Masyarakat Gemilang Conference 2023
The Masyarakat Gemilang Conference 2023,
organised by Yayasan MENDAKI, focused on youth
contributions to community success. LTC Lim En,
an NYAA Gold Award holder, participated in a
fireside chat session as a panel member. The event,
graced by President Halimah Yacob and Minister
Masagos Zulkifli, highlighted youth volunteerism and
mentoring.

• Inter-Faith Award 2023
The inaugural Exemplary Interfaith Award Ceremony,
held at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre,
acknowledged individuals promoting interfaith
understanding. Mr Tharman Shanmugaratnam,
former Senior Minister and presidential candidate,
graced the event. NYAA Executive Director Mr James
Soh served on the selection panel.

• Lee Kuan Yew 100th Anniversary Dialogue
2023
The “Reinventing Destiny” conference, held in
August 2023, marked Mr. Lee Kuan Yew’s 100th birth
anniversary. The event featured panels discussing
Singapore’s challenges and opportunities, with a
dialogue session with Mr Lawrence Wong, Deputy
Prime Minister and Minister for Finance, moderated
by Dr Fareed Zakaria. NYAA senior management was
honoured to attend this significant event.
