Table 1: Current practices and recommendations for EcoPlus Manufacturing Pte Ltd

On 7th June 24, the team will review the above recommendations with EcoPlus management. Moving forward, the team,
with the support from EcoPlus management, decided that the area of waste management of the HPL off-cuts is vital in helping
EcoPlus to reduce its carbon footprint and improve its business operations.

            Objectives
The objectives of the project are to expose ITE students to
the process of environmental review and encourage local
SME EcoPlus Manufacturing Pte Ltd to adopt continuous
measures for environmental sustainability (Go-Green) and
raise awareness on further reducing carbon emissions.
            Environmental Aspects
            Factory Site Observations:
At the factory site, the solid phenolic panels or High Pressure
Laminate (HPL) sheets are transferred and cut into different
dimensions and sizes by CNC machines based on the various Figure 5. Transferring HPL sheets
models of toilet cubicle systems requested by customers.
The team observed and believed that these leftover off-cuts
(quantity average monthly about 3.5 tonnes) are the primary
concern if left unused or discarded, which will increase the
            company's costs (See Figures 4 -7).
