Joseph M. Sobol, P.E.
Vice President
Director of Geotechnical Services
Mr. Sobol is the Director of Geotechnical Services. In this capacity, he is responsible for management of
personnel performing subsurface exploration programs, laboratory testing and geotechnical analyses and
report preparation. Mr. Sobol has over 29 years of professional engineering experience and has been with
Miller Engineering & Testing, Inc. since 1987.
He has extensive experience in geotechnical and structural engineering for highway pavements, bridges and
related structures. In addition, he has performed geotechnical studies for commercial buildings, transmission
towers, landfills, slopes, pavements and has developed geotechnical seismic design criteria for various
facilities.
