4. Pre-Operation and Operation Instructions

4.1) Pre-Operation Instructions

IMPORTANT! Prior to first using the power trowel, the engine MUST be filled with the
engine manufacturer’s recommended type of engine oil.
(Refer to engine manufacturer’s manual.)

CAUTION! Stop the engine and switch the throttle to “OFF” position prior to
performing any service, maintenance, or cleaning.

4.2) Operation Instructions

Starting the Power Trowel:

1. Before starting the power trowel, make sure to check the engine for proper fuel
and oil levels. (refer to fig 4-1)

2. With assistance, set the power trowel on the concrete slab to maintain surface
tolerances. Use with caution when running the power trowel in areas where
standing water is evident, as the power trowel will tend to skate away. Maintain
control at all times.
