6. Inspection, Maintenance, and Cleaning
WARNING! Make sure the throttle lever is in its “OFF” position (fully anti-
clockwise) prior to performing any service, maintenance, or cleaning of the unit. (Refer
fig 4-2 and 4-5)
6.1) General Checklists
It is recommended to conduct an inspection on CPT-36/F220 before and after operation.
Parts Checklists to follow
Structure Inspect the general condition of the power trowel.
Frame Check for screws, misalignment or binding of moving parts, cracked, bent,
or broken parts, damaged engine parts, and any other condition that may
affect the safe operation of the power trowel. If abnormal noise or
vibration occurs, have the problem corrected before further use. Do no use
damaged equipment.
Engine Check the engine oil level of the power trowel. (Refer to the engine
Maintenance manufacturer’s manual for lubricating and other maintenance instructions.)
Storage Use a hose to clean the power trowel after each use to prevent hardening of
concrete on the unit. Exercise caution to avoid getting water on the engine
and engine components. Hard concrete on the power trowel greatly
increases the weight of the unit and reduces efficiency. In addition this will
also increase the maintenance cost for removing harden concrete on the
machine during servicing.
Always store the power trowel in a clean, dry, safe location out of reach of
children and other unauthorized people.
CAUTION! All maintenance, service, or repairs not mentioned in this manual
must only be performed by a qualified service technician.
