Safety Tips:
Wear safety goggles, ear protection and boots with steel toe and soleplate while
operating any type of power trowel.
Wear heavy leather work gloves while changing power trowel blades.
Reduce speed when turning corners to avoid tipping the power trowel.
Turn off the power trowel to clear or change blades.
Cordon off the area, for safety and to prevent marring the concrete.
5.3) Attaching The Turbo Disc:
Make sure engine is off and blade is free of cement before attaching the disc. Place the
trowel over the disc and lock them into the turbo disc. (Refer to fig 5-1 & 5-2)
To remove the turbo disc, just remove the locking rod as shown in fig 5-1.
(Note: That the following diagram is for illustration purposes)

5.4) Operation of Turbo Disc:
Make sure the blades are free of all cement. The blades must also be in the flat position
(parallel to the ground surface). When the slab has set sufficiently that the operator’s
footprints leave a very slight impression, the slab is ready for the finishing step.
A turbo disc should be used to float the surface up to the walls or as close to any
obstacles as possible and then be followed by a mini-towel (not included) for the
remainder.
5.5) The Finishing Operation:
After the turbo disc operation, clean the blades of concrete collected during the floating
operation.
