fact, my reason for resigning is what

prompted me to write this booklet. I’m

sure it was not intentional, but because

of the other “fun” children’s programs,

I felt pressure to make Sunday School

and Children’s Church a fun and

exciting time for the children so that

they would want to attend Sunday

School and Children’s Church as much

as they wanted to attend the other

“fun-filled” programs.

But as I considered the fact that

children don’t have to be coerced to

attend public school by appealing to

their cravings for fun and entertain-

ment, I began to see it as degrading to

the Word of God and to the Lord
