Himself to resort to the use of

enticements in order to build and

maintain attendance, and I just could

not bring myself to resort to those

kinds of tactics, and neither could I

support the other children’s programs

that used those tactics. So for the sake

of unity in the children’s ministries,

I decided to resign.

God has given me peace about my

resignation, however. He’s helped me

to realize that ultimately God is going

to hold parents responsible — not me

— for bringing up their children “in the

nurture and admonition of the Lord”

(Eph. 6:4) — or at least to see to it that
