God says about nations, and we find in verse

24 that God gave them up to uncleanness

— Notice — through the lusts of their own

hearts.

So God has abandoned many because of

their idolatry and their apostasy, and He just

turns them over to their own depravity. He

gives them up to uncleanness; in other

words, he ceases to restrain them. He's just

allowing them to act out their sinfulness

and their depravity. Do we not see this

across our land? And it just progresses. We

go from uncleanness to vile affections and

then to a reprobate mind. So there's this

progression, it appears, in Romans chapter

1, but it all started with idolatry. It all started
