to participate in activities and conversations

that did not honor Christ with no apparent

sorrow for sinful behavior. This was very

puzzling to me because many of the young

people were being raised in professing

Christian homes. I began to study the Word

of God to try to understand the apparent

difference in my sensitivity to sinful behavior

compared to what I was witnessing in the

lives of many who had been involved in

church life for several years.

God began to give me an understanding that

regeneration does not take place by simply

a mental assent to the facts of the Gospel,

but a person must respond with the heart to
