for the rest of my life. I desire to be like you someday,” Samaria
said with a misty tone.”
Again, thank you, everyone, and God bless you. I’M
SO HAPPY TO BE FINISHED WITH HIGH SCHOOL!”
Samaria yelled again as she left the podium. The crowd
laughed as they gave the seniors a standing ovation.
Christian Summer Camp
The crowd had been so jubilant, singing the songs that
belonged to the youthful and joyful. They rubbed shoulders
never minding that their toes were often trodden on or that
they were in closer proximity to what they considered friends
or even family. The atmosphere was one of elation as youth
listened to Katey Anderson’s opening comments.
“We thank everyone for making the awesome decision to
enroll in this year’s summer camp,” Katey said. “Some of you
are here because you want to be, some are here be- cause
your intentions are to attend this camp just to see what it would
be like, and there are those who are here because your par-
ents made you come.” Everyone laughed. “Nevertheless, the
attendance in this year’s summer camp is 230 youth. Please
give yourselves a round of applause.”
Everyone clapped and cheered.
“Giving glory and honor to my personal Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ,” Adriana said as she took center, “When asked
to be one of the overseers of this year’s summer camp, I was
surprised. I was so excited, I looked forward to it. As you all
know, God has done a mighty work through Samaria, Katey
and I. Our desire is to teach and encourage the youth on how
to stand for Jesus in all areas of their lives, and how to live a life
walking in the spirit.”
Adriana moved back as Samaria came up. “Thank you.
