Will the Real Christians Stand Up Will the Real Christians Stand Up
“Sir, having a relationship with Jesus requires more than
just talking. It requires living a lifestyle with Christ that will bring
Him glory and honor. Don’t get me wrong, talking to Jesus is
wonderful when you’re not talking to yourself, but that’s not
enough. If you don’t mind, I would like to read with you a few
scriptures. Is that okay, sir?” she asked as she noticed the man
becoming a little fidgety. He nodded as she opened her bible.
“The story is about a man who had been in a dead state
for thirty-eight years. You see, the man gave excuse after ex-
cuse why he remained in his existing state. Jesus was very con-
cerned about the man’s healing and deliverance but was
also concerned about the excuses the man provided as well.
This same thing applies to you, sir. Jesus is concerned about
your situation as well as your healing and deliverance.”
The man was weeping. Adriana got down on her knees
next to the homeless man. “Will you allow Jesus Christ to heal
you today and deliver you from bondage and all of your sins?
Will you allow him to give you a new prosperous life in ex-
change for your life of poverty and defeat?” The man raised
his hands as he said yes. “Then repeat after me, sir.”
Adriana led the homeless man to Christ. “Thank you, Je-
sus, thank you,” the man said over and over with tears coming
down his face.
Adriana laid her hands on the man’s forehead and start-
ed to pray. “In the name of Jesus, I break every stronghold
and addiction in this man’s life. Father, I ask you that you let
the mind of Christ reign in his mind. I thank you, Father, and I
ask all these things in Jesus’ name, Amen. Adriana handed
the man some tissue out of her purse. She continued praying
with the man.
The homeless man’s eyes locked onto Adriana’s so in-
tensely, she could see his soul coming to ease.
