“Sure,” the woman said as she came to an abrupt stop.
“Do you know Jesus?” Katey asked.
“I don’t want to hear anything about no Jesus,” the wom-
an said as she rudely walked off. Very well, Katey thought to
herself as she moved on to the next person.
“Good afternoon, sir. Beautiful day today,” she said,
stopping to sit next to a man sitting on a bench.
“Good afternoon,” the man said with a smile, “yes, and
such a beautiful day indeed.”
“If you don’t mind, may I ask you a question, she asked.
“Sure, go ahead,” he replied.
“Do you know Jesus?”
The man glared at Katey as he told her that Jesus didn’t
exist and whoever told her that Jesus lived was a liar. Katey
just smiled and replied, “Oh, but sir, he does, and he’s wait-
ing to make you a believer if you allow him.”
The man straightened his posture and asked, “How do
you know that Jesus exists?”
She replied, “Because he is living on the inside of me.”
The man laughed and waved her off as he got up and
walked away.
“Have a blessed day, sir,” she shouted.
Katey got up and started walking about the park. She
saw a young lady walking her dog. “Hello, how are you doing
ma’am,” Katey inquired as she stopped the lady.
“I’m doing great, thanks. How about yourself?” the lady
asked as she gave a little tug to stop her dog.
“I’m doing wonderful,” she said as she reached down to
pet the lady’s dog, “do you mind if I ask you a question?”
The lady didn’t mind. “Not at all, sweetie, go right
ahead,” she said with cheer.
