Will the Real Christians Stand Up
The man gestured to her to go ahead and ask her ques-
tion as he placed a piece of chocolate in his mouth.
“Do you know Jesus?”
Mr. Wilson sat in silence as he enjoyed the chocolate.
“Jesus doesn’t love me. If he did, he wouldn’t have allowed
me to become paralyzed,” he said bitterly.
”Oh, but sir, he does because he sent me here this
morning to tell you that he loves you and wants to express
his love. Mr. Wilson, as hard as it is to say this, life is just life.
Things happen that are out of our control. And something else
you should know, sometimes a person can cause a situation
to come about because of their own disobedience towards
God. God is never to blame for our disobedience to his word,
or to his will. Safe to say, sir, it was the grace and mercy of God
that you were not literally destroyed. He gave you more time
to surrender your heart to Jesus Christ,” Samaria said as she
placed her hand on Mr. Wilson’s hand.
He sat the glass of milk down and turned his attention
to Samaria. She continued talking with him, going over scrip-
tures. She spoke about how Satan comes to steal, kill and de-
stroy all of humanity. Jesus gave his life so that we could have
a better life in him. “You have a choice and free will, Mr. Wil-
son. You decide which life you want to live,” she said as she
grabbed her bible, “you have a soul dwelling on the inside of
you. The choice that you make to receive Jesus into your life
or to deny him as your savior determines which direction your
soul will be sent when your life expires on this earth. So I ask you
today, Mr. Wilson, would you like to make a choice to receive
Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior and to be standing right
with God?”
Mr. Wilson tried not to cry, but he couldn’t help it. The
tears just came streaming down. He reached out for Samaria
and said, “yes, yes, I would.’’ Mr. Wilson grasped Samaria’s
