hands as the tears poured down his face. Samaria led Mr. Wil-
son in prayer and helped him connect with the Lord. Mr. Wil-
son threw up his hands and started praising God. He felt his
spirit grow light as if a weight had been lifted from his soul. He
stared at Samaria for a moment and then smiled.
“There’s something marvelous you should know, Mr. Wil-
son,” Samaria said, smiling back, “all of heaven is rejoicing
on your behalf because of the awesome decision you have
made to crown Jesus Christ as your king. Before we believe
God for a miracle to take place in your life, the holy spirit is
urging me to ask you, ``Do you have any unforgiveness in your
life towards anyone, Mr. Wilson?”
He looked down in shame. “Yes, I do. I have not been
able to forgive my daughter, who I haven’t seen in years, and
the drunk driver who caused the accident that paralyzed
me.”
“It’s okay, Mr. Wilson. Just know that if we don’t forgive
others, God will not forgive us when we need his forgiveness.
It’s on you to ask the Lord for forgiveness for the bitterness and
hate you may have towards them.”
Mr. Wilson started weeping softly as he rocked himself
side to side. Samaria sat in silence. Minutes later, Mr. Wilson
took Samaria’s hand and said, “The biggest weight of all has
been lifted from me. There’s a peace I’ve never felt before.”
Samaria nodded, “that’s the weight of bondage God
has taken from you; the peace that passes all understanding
that comes from Jesus himself. Are you ready for a miracle,
Mr. Wilson?”
Mr. Wilson excitedly said yes. Samaria started speaking
on the paralyzed man. “Do you remember how Jesus caused
the paralyzed man to get up and walk? Mr. Wilson shook his
head yes, as he recalled in his mind the story of Jesus healing
the paralized man. Well, that took faith from the man and his
