Page 16 - DYNO TTRAINER
P. 16
Specifications:
Conveyer rollers, 25 mm x 350 mm, spindle diameter 6 mm – 2 pieces
Material Characteristic:
• Spring-loaded at both ends to allow flexible installation
• Can free spin with a maximum limit of 20000 rpm
• Stainless steel spindle, aluminum outer body
• Bearings at both ends, does not require lubrication
Usage Rational:
Conveyer rollers are the most common and accessible rotating structures, created
for the purpose of centrifugal displacement. They are actually made up of a few
components, combined together to form a cylinder where only the outside of
cylinder spins with motion, while the inner spindle stays static and keeps the roller
in place. Aluminum hard rollers are chosen simply because this is the simplest type
of roller, and can easily be applied in the dyno system without needing any extra
features, since its only job is to free spin. They are built with a certain amount of
tolerance to compensate for expanding when the roller runs at very high rpm and
heats up to a few degree Celsius more. This tolerance avoids roller from stalling
due to the expansion and helps keeping it functional. The spindle is mounted on a
holder while the outer body should not be in contact with anything while spinning.
