13. Generator brushless motor
Specifications:
Brushless Direct Current (DC) 21.5 T Bandit V10 G2 motor – 1 piece
Material Characteristic:
• External casing can withstand up to 200° C temperature
• 21.5 turns in its solenoid coil
• 3 output pins to divert generated electricity
• Can be connected to sensors to detect its functionality and efficiency
• Maximum output Ampere = 1.1 A
• Maximum output power = 120 Watt
Usage Rational:
A brushless motor generally has a higher efficiency compared to a brushed motor
as it is the product of more advanced technology. Its main function in the dyno is to
be connected to the varying loads by the output as a power source. Its silver spindle
is locked to a gear train that connects the rear roller and spins simultaneously when
a car is spinning the roller. By this spinning action, power is generated inside the
motor, and distributed to the varying load resistors, so they are activated and can be
switched on anytime. Due to its ability to generate very high power over a very
short period of time, it overheats easily. Therefore a good location that has open
ventilation is crucial for the motor to be efficient.
