17. Custom aluminum 606 roller

Specifications:

Aluminum 6061 cylinder, 395 mm length x 50 mm diameter – 1 piece

Material Characteristic:
• Undergoes machining process – lathing

• Sandpapered to fine surface after machining processes are done

• Spins true with no obvious wobbling

Usage Rational:
This is what the rear roller is made of. Basically the entire dyno structure consists

of different aluminum alloys, in different shapes and sizes all put together. The
roller acts as a flywheel that smooths out the starting bumps of test runs, being a

load itself, as a free spinning roller cannot be considered a dyno. It mimics the
existence of friction on raceways.
