Manager to report the incident, and the accident form must be given in to the
Transport Manager at the end of your working day. If the owner of the property is
present please ask them to call your Operations Manager who will discuss any
further actions with them.
11. Before starting work on a new site you should assess whether the vehicle could
cause damage to the property either when operating or manoeuvring on site. If in
your opinion damage may be caused you should bring it to the customer’s
attention; you should get them to sign the disclaimer making them aware of our
conditions of hire and accepting responsibility before you enter the property. If
the customer or representative is not on site to sign, you must inform your
Operations Manager of your concern before sweeping commence. Do not
damage trees or shrubs on site whilst carrying out sweeping.
12. Before driving on the highway ensure that the sweeper is in the raised position.
Failure to do so could cause damage to the vehicle and the highway.
Do not damage gateposts, piers, kerbs, walls etc. If you are unable to
control your vehicle safely, ask the Transport Manager, for assistance.
Road sweeper vehicle controls
You must be familiarised with all the controls of the vehicle to operate it safely:
✓ Sweeping equipment
✓ Pressure Washer
✓ Rear door operation
✓ Tipping and unloading operation
✓ Emptying of collection unit
✓ Warning lights, cameras and buzzer
If in doubt always ask.........
Please ensure that you have read and understood the vehicle
operators manual stored in the vehicle cab
